Home Coming….

27 Aug

Finally, Vrishank’s home coming day arrived. Big brother was all excited and waiting for us. We on the other hand were kind of nervous with Irene. The day before we were getting prepared for Irene attack, daddy grabbed some food, water and batteries.

On Saturday morning mummy was all ready with you to go home, but the pediatrician Dr.Jake was late to the hospital, who needs to discharge you. Around 1:30 PM we reached home. Vidur was delirious at your arrival. When he saw me he said, ‘ do you have another baby in your tummy!!!’…lol. I would never forget this. As we came in Vidur wanted to hold you and give you a warm hug and kiss.

When ammamma was changing your diaper, Vidur helped her by giving the diaper and wipes.

As the night was approaching, I was kind of nervous thinking of how prepared are we for Irene …

Around 7 PM Irene hit us with no power in the house. With the new born in the house it wasnt so easy without power. Vrishank was very fuzzy all night. Luckily when you woke up at night daddy went to the basement to check the sump pump, it was almost full and he had to empty it. Somehow the dark night passed away with a sunshine next day. Neighbours gathered in the street and most of there  basements were flooded. Fire department helped them clean up there basement. Vidur was all excited to see the fire engine. Friends and relatives were calling us to check whether we were safe with you.

Welcome Vrishank!

23 Aug

Welcome to beautiful world Vrishank.

Mommy and I decided to bring you into the world today. You are born at 9:00 AM today in Princeton University Medical Center. Dr Ibrahim delivered you in OR and I was the first one to see you, my first reaction with extreme joy I told mommy that you looked like your brother Vidur. At the time of  birth your weight was 6.4 pounds and your height was 19 inches. Mommy and I was relieved when nurse and baby doctor told us that all your vitals are good and you are in good health. We decided to name you as Vrishank and mommy also started calling you Krivi which she wanted to be your pet name. Later in the day Vidur and Amama came to see you in the hospital. Vidur is very excited at your arrival as he is big brother now which entitles him for more independence and freedom and he thinks he need not sit in car seat anymore 🙂

It turned out the day of your birth was pretty eventful in the world.

  • There was 5.8 magnitude earth quake in east coast  in US which was considered rarity. Good thing is there were no human casulalities.
  • Libya rebels won war against the country’s brutal dictator Gaddafi and liberated Libya.

But the only event which we remember and cherish whole life is your arrival. Your arrival made our family complete.
